## Torngats### ONGC-RT2 Technician (Québec or Montréal)
** Requirements
* ** ONGC RT2 certification
* Minimum 3 years NDT experience
* Completion of ASP construction course
* Valid class 5 driver's license
* Basic knowledge of Excel software
* Physical fitness (climbing, bending, stooping, crawling, straddling, and maintaining static positions for varying periods of time)
* Basic computer skills (Office)
* Ability to communicate technical information and popularize it as required
* Meet the minimum visual requirements of ONGC/NAS
410/ASNT certification organizations (color vision, 3D, reading small print)
** Assets
* ** AEC in non-destructive testing or DEC in metallurgical or mechanical engineering

** Tasks
* ** Carry out inspections in accordance with the requirements of the authority having issued certification for the technique used (ONGC, ASNT, CINDE, NACE, API, CWB etc.), taking notes, taking photos, marking areas to be inspected (drawings, measurements), on-site or in the workshop.
* Film interpretation (conventional, CR, and DR)
* When present, communicate instructions and guide the NDT technician assistant.
* Remain attentive to customer instructions
* Record in writing and digitally any anomalies found in the parts to be inspected.
* Write reports
* Answer customer questions
* Basic maintenance of inspection equipment
* Manage specialized instrumentation
* Apply correct inspection procedures according to context
* Drive a vehicle to inspection sites (sometimes over long distances)
* Transport inspection equipment in the field
* Report anomalies, malfunctions, problems, and difficulties
* Contact the appropriate resources when in doubt, without hesitation
* Ensure PPE compliance
* Take health and safety training courses
* Participate in safety meetings and any prevention activities required by Torngats or the customer where the inspection is carried out
* Keep certifications up to date
* Participate in information meetings (e.g. in the event of an inspection under special conditions)
* Ensure that work permits are obtained and complied with by customers who issue them
