Graphic Designer

My client, a manufacturing and distribution business who are a market leader in their field, have created an outstanding opportunity for a motivated person with a can-do attitude looking to jump start their career as a Graphics Designer.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will need to be confident and adept at working autonomously, as well as in collaboration with the Graphics and Marketing teams.

The role will involve supporting Sales and Marketing across a number of activities.

As well as the more traditional print, work will cross over into digital channels.

Previous experience of working in an office based Graphic Design department is essential and video editing skills would be a plus in this role.

• Ambitious and talented Graphic Designer with bags of energy and outstanding design work
• Impeccable attention to detail and strong layout and typographic skills.
• Ability to work independently, to tight deadlines and across several work streams, while maintaining the highest standards
• We are looking for someone who can take ownership of design corrections and create print ready artwork to tight deadlines
• A creative and innovative approach that welcomes new ideas
• Ability to see your designs through from concept to artwork
• Methodical and able to maintain image databases
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Good spoken and written communication skills
• You’ll be confident at working under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Good project management skills and the ability to communicate well

• A degree in graphic design (or equivalent)
• Experience generating design concepts
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design
• An understanding of designing for e-commerce, e.g. email templates and banners
• Experience of image-retouching
• Knowledge of 3D-modelling software
• Knowledge of video editing and 3D software would be beneficial:
  Filming, using DSLR cameras, Editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects), Rendering:
  Keyshot 3D
