Senior Clinical Psychologist

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join us in the Kent Clinical Neuropsychology Service for Stroke. This post is to work in the Thanet area (Margate & Ramsgate). The post is based at Gregory House in Canterbury and is co-located with other colleagues in the service. The trust supports hybrid/flexible models of working.

• Provide specialist clinical neuropsychology services to stroke survivors and their families and carers in the Thanet locality.
• Conduct high quality direct assessment and therapeutic interventions and indirect consultative, advisory and evaluative interventions, exercising autonomous judgement.
• Ensure clinical effectiveness of own practice and service delivery by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the local Community Neurorehabilitation Team.
• Be regularly responsible for providing training placements for trainee clinical psychologists in clinical neuropsychology.

We would consider someone newly qualified or wishing to move across from another specialty, but we would prefer someone with past neuro experience.

There will be close working with a Principal Clinical Psychologist, who will provide supervision, and there is lots of opportunity for informal support. We support ongoing training and professional development.
