Project Brief:

The Sr. Planning Engineer will be responsible for supporting engineering team to deliver the projects on schedule.

He should ensure that the projects schedule and deliveries are on time, as per the scope and project budget.

The scope is to create and implement plans that assist Engineering team to achieve the projects schedules.

Job Description

The candidate must possess expertise/experience in the following domains:

Involve in planning and monitoring of all activities within the Engineering projects programs.
Assist in analyzing project specifications and finding cost-effective ways to achieve the deliverables.
Prepare the baseline program, schedules, milestones and deliverables as per project management plan.
Prepare full projects portfolio plan (80 plus projects) in coordination with project managers and vendors.
Analyzing technical drawings and providing durations and milestones and overall project plan accordingly.
Prepare look ahead plan for the execution team.
Generate and update progress report of the project in a weekly or monthly basis.
Able to do critical path analysis at project, program and portfolio levels
Prepare forecasted cash flow for projects and portfolio and report on actual Vs Planned spends and progress.
Identifying the project program risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Monitor the cash flow and tracking schedule of the project.
Prepare forecasts resulting from significant deviations from scheduled baselines.
Tracking and analyzing field results based on the planned progress and actual progress.
Determined and develop the most suitable methods for the projects.
Involve throughout the development stage of the projects and present at site during construction phase to oversee procedures.
Estimate a timescale for the projects and ensure that the outlined deadlines are met.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
Analysis and Reporting

The candidate must meet the following qualifications:
bachelors degree in civil engineering or an equivalent degree.
Minimum 8-10 years experience in construction field.
Fluent in English (Arabic is advantage).
Planning and project management skills and software
Strong technical knowledge.
Strong problem-solving skills
