Simpson Judge are partnering with a well-established UK accountancy practice to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. The ideal candidate will have worked within a professional practice environment and be confident managing a varied client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and develop a portfolio of clients, acting as primary contact.
- Oversee and review statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and practice standards.
- Support and review work of junior team members.
- Liaise with HMRC and assist partners with client advisory work.
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with 2+ years PQE.
- Essential experience working in a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage deadlines.
- Experience with cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quick Books) preferred.
