Receptionist, Administrative/Clerical
Job Overview
The receptionist will perform complex administrative functions and will be responsible for receiving patients and visitors attending outpatient clinics, taking ownership of escalated administrative issues where appropriate. The receptionist works in close partnership with medical, nursing and administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the outpatients department.
Florey Sexual Health Clinic is looking for a full‑time band 2 Receptionist to join our busy Reception team. Reception is the first point of contact within a very sensitive service, so a friendly, unprejudiced, sympathetic, mature attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels are essential.
ResponsibilitiesBooking appointments, greeting patients, and carrying out an effective telephone triage booking service. The role requires working individually and within a team. Flexibility and adaptability are required.
Qualifications- GSCE (or equivalent) or above in Maths and English Language
- Experience with in a customer service setting
- Experience of note management
- Previous experience of working with databases and maintaining data quality
- Reception experience
- Experience with in an NHS administration environment
- Experience of working with clients of differing healthcare needs
- Experience of working to tight deadlines
