About the Role

The XPS Risk Settlement team is a fast and exciting growing business area, working alongside trustees and insurers to help navigate schemes through buy-in, buyout and wind‑up. Due to increased demand for our services, we are looking for ambitious, organised individuals to work within our post‑transaction team, supporting Post‑transaction Project Leads in overseeing the activities required for schemes to true‑up after buy‑in, buy‑out and eventually wind‑up.

This is a fantastic role for an individual from a DB background looking to expand into project and client management. Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Leads in setting up and maintaining project documentation, including Project Initiation Documents, Project Plans, Highlight Reports, and Risk and Issue Logs.
  • Document and follow up on actions with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Facilitate meetings by preparing agendas and recording accurate meeting minutes.
  • Manage work streams within large projects and take ownership of smaller projects independently.
  • Produce clear and concise management reports to support decision‑making.
  • Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile
  • Experience working with Defined Benefit (DB) pensions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
  • Ability to create, manage, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Solution‑focused approach to problem‑solving.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high‑quality service.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain long‑term relationships internally and externally.
Desirable
  • Experience in project‑based work is desirable.
  • Proficient in use of MS Project.
  • Advanced MS Excel capabilities.
