What is the role?

This position will be a Sales Management role. Key responsibilities will be leading and managing your team, so leadership experience is essential. In addition, the Sales Manager should possess excellent organisational skills, the ability to lead, drive and inspire, and have an excellent attention to detail. Understanding of credit/risk will also be central to the role, understanding Enterprise and Data centre, and a deep knowledge of the IT Channel is required.

  • Increase GP and revenue in team‑aligned customers base for both designated vendors.
  • Drive share within targeted partners.
  • Manage, develop and support your team.
  • Support the team in achieving their objectives – become TS Sales Specialists.
  • Establish trusted customer relationships and perform regular updates and reviews with top partners.
  • Provide best‑in‑class service levels and become the channel’s most valued distribution partner.
  • Work collaboratively with SMB Sales team and Product in delivering business and customer objectives.
  • Aim to improve the processes and systems we use on the team.
  • Help the team progress, achieve their KPIs and become valuable to their customers.
  • Manage the SMB Technology Solutions Sales team as a business leader.
  • Manage team targets around revenue, GP and KPIs.
  • Coach and support TS account managers and Business Development Executives on activity around core KPIs.
  • Understand the account base and demonstrate accurate account mapping, subsequent commercials and forecasting.
  • Develop business relationships with key stakeholders within specific vendors and customers.
  • Develop relationships with Westcoast key stakeholders in Credit Control, Customer Services, IT and Finance.
  • Act as the initial escalation point for all day‑to‑day issues for customers and colleagues.
  • Conduct staff one‑to‑ones (PDD) regularly to identify training needs and encourage success across the team.
  • Work with Operations to enable accounts to run more efficiently through automation.
Skills
  • A previous track record in sales is essential.
  • Experience working in an IT distributor, managed services provider, systems integrator, vendor or IT reseller is highly desirable.
  • Proactive and commercially minded with excellent communication skills.
  • Able to motivate and manage a team to succeed in a target‑driven, high‑pressure environment.
  • Able to communicate at all levels, articulate issues with clarity and affect change.
  • Comfortable reviewing existing practices and making recommendations to improve.
  • Able to conduct client visits and lead client meetings.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations with confidence and professionalism.
  • Willingness to learn and motivation to continuously develop industry knowledge.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
