We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager on behalf of a well-established main contractor with an annual turnover of circa £100M, specialising in the delivery of new build commercial and industrial units.

The Project

The successful Site Manager will be working on a large-scale new build multi-unit development with a total project value of £80M, based in Reading. The scheme is fully mobilised and ready to start, offering an immediate opportunity for the right candidate.

Role & Responsibilities

* Day-to-day management of site operations

* Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour

* Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to programme

* Maintaining high standards of health & safety and quality control

* Liaising with project managers, clients, and consultants

* Managing site records, RAMS, inductions, and progress reporting

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on industrial or commercial new build projects

* Background working for a main contractor

* Valid CSCS Card

* SMSTS

* First Aid at Work

* Strong organisational and communication skills

Package

* £280 – £320 per day, paid via CIS

* Freelance contract

* 12–18 months duration
