Senior Mechanical Engineer - Lead Innovation in Capital Delivery Projects

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be instrumental in driving engineering excellence, sustainability, and innovation across a diverse portfolio of works.

This is more than a technical role—it's an opportunity to shape the future of essential infrastructure. You'll ensure projects meet the highest standards of design, delivery, and health & safety, while contributing to continuous improvement across the asset lifecycle.

• Deliver robust technical outcomes from Project Definition Briefs, identifying risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of Technical Asset Standards
• Provide design sign‑off between Asset Management and Capital Delivery teams
• Offer technical assurance through delivery, commissioning, and asset handover phases

• Hybrid working model based out of Clearwater Court (2‑3 days per week on site / office)
• 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

• Strong experience with LV, MV, and HV systems in utilities (water, energy, or power)
• HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Proven ability to develop technical project solutions and briefs
• Understanding of project delivery within process industries
• Solid grasp of Health & Safety practices in construction environments
• Familiarity with industrial processes related to mechanical engineering

• Competitive salary: £55,000‑£65,000 per annum
