Associate Director – MEP

As Associate Director – MEP, you’ll sit at the intersection of technical excellence, leadership, and commercial savvy. You’ll own major project work streams, act as the main client voice, and help drive the growth of a high‑performing regional building services team. In short: you’ll design, lead, influence—and leave things better than you found them.

• Acting as the primary client contact on large, multi‑disciplinary MEP projects
• Leading complex schemes across mechanical, electrical and public health disciplines
• Driving project profitability, quality, risk management and delivery standards
• Supporting work-winning, bids and strategic growth initiatives
• Mentoring future leaders and shaping a positive, high‑performance team culture
• Delegating, reviewing and guiding engineering teams and specialist inputs
• Managing resources, monitoring spend and reporting to senior leadership
• Ensuring technical excellence, compliance and best practice—without killing momentum

• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) with strong MEP design credentials
• A solid electrical engineering background with UK experience, with clear understanding of other disciplines
• Confidence leading teams, influencing stakeholders and handling tricky moments calmly
• Excellent written and verbal communication (no jargon fog required)
• Commercial awareness and an instinct for building long‑term client relationships
• A leadership style that motivates, challenges and supports in equal measure
