As an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, you will join a high-performing, collaborative team focused on the continuous improvement of our portfolio of medical infusion devices. This is a multifaceted role that blends deep technical PCBA work with high-level system thinking. You will be the technical guardian of our products, ensuring reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term availability in a fast-paced environment.
Salary: £46000 - £49000
Hours:
8am to 4pm Monday to Friday
Flexible working - 4 days in the office, 1 day remote if desired
Key Responsibilities:
Obsolescence Management:
Evaluate and qualify alternative electronic components to extend product life cycles.
Hands-on Testing:
Perform rigorous engineering verification and laboratory testing at the PCBA component level.
Root Cause Analysis:
Investigate and resolve complex faults at both the PCBA and system levels.
Supplier Partnership:
Define test requirements and oversee implementation with external manufacturing partners.
Continuous Improvement:
Provide technical input to enhance PCBAs, wiring looms, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
Compliance:
Maintain technical documentation and support engineering change processes (ECN/ECR) within a regulated framework.
Desirable Qualifications &
Experience:
Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC/HND or Degree level).
Ideally 3-5 years within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Skilled in interpreting electronic circuits and proficient with lab tools like oscilloscopes and signal generators.
Familiar with PCBA manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and circuit analysis.
Adaptable, analytical, and confident working across different disciplines in a regulated industry.
