Are you a qualified accountant with extensive central government financial reporting experience?

We are looking to connect with experienced finance professionals who specialise in Record to Report (R2R), government financial accounting and consolidated financial reporting.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major central government finance transformation programme, helping shape how departmental financial information is consolidated, reported and delivered.

You will play a key role in supporting and improving central government Record to Report services, with a focus on:

• Consolidated departmental accounts and financial statements.
• Month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting.
• Financial accounting and reconciliations.
• HM Treasury reporting requirements.
• AME (Annually Managed Expenditure) and DEL (Departmental Expenditure Limits).
• OSCAR reporting and central government reporting processes.
• Financial process design and transformation.
• Engaging with senior stakeholders across complex government finance environments.

We are particularly interested in qualified accountants with:

• Extensive R2R experience within central government.
• Strong financial accounting and consolidated accounts experience.
• Experience preparing departmental accounts and financial statements.
• Knowledge of HM Treasury reporting frameworks.
• Experience with AME, DEL, FReM and OSCAR reporting.
• A recognised accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA.
• Strong client engagement and senior stakeholder management skills.

You will be contributing to a significant government finance transformation initiative, working with experienced professionals and helping shape the future of central government financial reporting.
