Occupational Therapist

With this in mind, we are looking for an Occupational Therapist who shares our vision to use innovative approaches to enhance the quality of life and outcomes of the pupils we support.

Role will initially be based at Riseley Green School, Berkshire. The school is part of our Options Autism brand and is an independent specialist day school supporting children and young people aged 4‑16. The successful candidate will also support the set‑up of new Options Autism OFG schools planned for September 2026, with some cross‑site work required.

As an integral part of the in‑house clinical team, you will work collaboratively with the education team to deliver Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions for pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or SEMH needs. You will embed OT provision across the whole school, support delivery of EHCPs, contribute to staff training and provide clinical consultation.

• Embed OT intervention for pupils at a whole‑school level following the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working.
• Support the delivery and implementation of OT provision on students’ EHCPs under the guidance of a designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician.
• Provide consultation and staff training to support multidisciplinary practice.
• Work independently, flexibly and confidently across sites.
• Maintain thorough, clear and concise report writing.
• Participate in research projects, special interest groups and wider OT network activities.
• Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives within the school.

• Recognised Occupational Therapy degree.
• Valid HCPC registration.
• Registered member of RCOT.
• Relevant experience providing OT services in a similar setting.
• Experience working with neurodivergent, learning‑difficulty or socio‑emotional and mental health needs.
• Sound knowledge of OT theory and its practical application.
• Experience of multi‑professional teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and confidently.
• Clear and concise report writing skills.

• Training as a sensory‑informed practitioner (SI) or experience of sensory‑integration techniques.
• Interest in research and professional development.

Salary range:
Up to £53,200 FTE (DOE). Basic OT grade offers start from £33,000+, specialist from £39,500+ and highly specialist from £48,000+.

Hours:

37.5 per week, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Contract:

Permanent (term‑time only or flexible arrangements can be discussed).
