Band 6 Senior Rotational Physiotherapist – Specialist Rehabilitation
We are looking for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Specialist Rehabilitation wheel at Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading. The role is a secondment of 10 months (February – December 2026) with a full‑time contract of 37.5 hours per week, including weekend and on‑call coverage. This position offers a competitive salary range of £38,682 – £46,580 per annum and a wide range of staff benefits.

As a Band 6 Physiotherapist you will work with patients across the following clinical areas:
Stroke, Paediatrics, Specialist Medicine / Elderly Care and Medicine (including amputee rehabilitation). You will develop managerial skills through supervising junior staff and students, and will contribute to service development alongside senior colleagues.
- Provide assessment, clinical reasoning, treatment and teaching to patients with complex conditions.
- Supervise junior staff and students.
- Contribute to service development and patient care improvement.
- Provide seven‑day and on‑call working as required.
Essential
- Degree or other recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC registration.
- Relevant NHS experience across core clinical areas, including respiratory care.
- Leadership examples and NHS rehabilitation experience.
Desirable
- Rehabilitation experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of research and evidence‑based practice.
- Completed leadership course.
- Knowledge of rehabilitation methodologies.
