In this role, you will guide and support the Plasma for Medicine (PFM) operations team, focusing on performance, capability, compliance, and accurate record-keeping to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading multi-disciplinary teams and working groups to safely and efficiently collect PFM in line with service targets.
• Acting as the MHRA Responsible Person (RP) under Blood Safety and Quality Regulations 2005.
• Delivering a positive donor experience while ensuring donor/product safety and regulatory compliance.
• Achieving KPIs for donor experience, safety, and efficiency through effective leadership and performance management.
• Driving service improvement and transformation, embedding best practice for high-quality, efficient delivery.
• Managing care and service standards to meet public expectations and uphold NHSBTs reputation for quality, risk, and governance.
• Maintaining clinical competence and providing shift cover as needed, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays on a 7-day rota.

You will also join a rotational on-call rota for support outside core hours (excluding night shifts). With prior agreement, irregular hours, overnight stays, and travel may be required.

What we offer:

• NHSBT promotes flexible working opportunities where the role will allow.
• This role is mostly Monday to Friday office hours (in-person), however we do ask for a degree of flexibility from our staff should the operation require it.
