We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our busy Accounts team. The role will assist with a range of transaction tasks for both our client and office functionalities. The role holder will maintain the confidentiality of financial and other information when undertaking activities. This is a key position responsible for ensuring full compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and maintaining accurate financial records for the firm.
Therole includes:
- Monitoring online bank accounts for the allocation of electronic payments
- Process client account payments in line with regulatory compliance requirements.
- Daily banking of all incoming client and office cheques and cash payments
- Checking completion statements
- Maintain accurate client ledger records and internal ledger transfers
- Taking card payments
- Assisting with internal reporting
- Respond to internal and external financial queries efficiently
- Previous experience in a legal cashier/finance role within a law firm is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules would be ideal, but training will be given to the successful candidate to ensure full compliance with industry regulations
