Band 5 Staff Nurse (Urology Procedures)

We are looking for a dynamic, highly‑motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy Urology Procedures department, an outpatient clinic that delivers a range of specialist services.

Working pattern:
Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30, with some days extended to 17:30 or 18:00; future potential for Saturday work.

• Undertake and record comprehensive nursing assessment and planning.
• Deliver and evaluate high‑standard, evidence‑based nursing care to a diverse group of patients.
• Provide care independently without direct supervision and be accountable for care delivered and any omissions.
• Teach and supervise junior staff, students and the non‑registered nursing workforce.
• Act as a role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Registered Nurse – Part 1
• Current registration with the NMC.
• Evidence of recent continuous professional development.
• Experience, through placement or employment, of working in an acute clinical environment.

• Pay scheme: Agenda for Change, £31,049 – £37,796 per annum.
• Contract type: Permanent.
• Working pattern: Full‑time.
• Location: Royal Berkshire Hospital, London Road, Reading, RG1 5AN
