All staff members have an active role in the health promotion of patients on castle ward. Working with our excellent highly skilled team you will develop a wide range of clinical skills helping to progress your career. There are opportunities to care for acutely ill patients, working within a competency frame work supporting you to gain more skills and knowledge in this specialty.
You will receive induction and specialist training tailored to the area including care of patients with Diabetes. We will provide you support through your induction and developmental phase. You will be allocated with a mentor who will guide you through completion of your competencies. We have a robust appraisal process to ensure that your professional development is achieved within a set time frame.

- Registered Nurse or working towards registration, Through placement or employment of working in an acute clinical environment, Demonstrates sound clinical knowledge and up to date nursing practice with evidence of critical thinking and problem solving
- Demonstrates awareness of current professional nursing issues, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
