Catering Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Berkshire Independent Hospital, part of the Ramsay Health Care Group.

This is a part‑time role, 23 hours per week with shifts between 7am–6pm Monday to Saturday. Reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will provide a high standard of catering service as part of the support services team. Some experience is preferred, although we will provide all necessary training.

• Obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff and visitors.
• Assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff and visitors.
• Clean all areas of the catering department daily to the agreed standard.
• Ensure adherence to current health and hygiene regulations in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs.
• Prepare breakfast and assist the chefs.

• A willingness to work positively with a team to achieve goals and deliver excellent service.
• Holder of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for Catering (if not already held, company‑funded training will be undertaken).
• Outstanding professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• A friendly, outgoing personality.
• Attention to detail.
