Catering Assistant
We are seeking an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at Berkshire Independent Hospital, part of the Ramsay Health Care Group.
This is a part‑time role, 23 hours per week with shifts between 7am–6pm Monday to Saturday. Reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will provide a high standard of catering service as part of the support services team. Some experience is preferred, although we will provide all necessary training.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff and visitors.
- Assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff and visitors.
- Clean all areas of the catering department daily to the agreed standard.
- Ensure adherence to current health and hygiene regulations in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs.
- Prepare breakfast and assist the chefs.
- A willingness to work positively with a team to achieve goals and deliver excellent service.
- Holder of a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for Catering (if not already held, company‑funded training will be undertaken).
- Outstanding professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A friendly, outgoing personality.
- Attention to detail.
