Who are we looking for?A highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer trained to work at several client premises as holiday or sickness cover, with a view to a fixed shift pattern when available. We invest in our colleagues, encourage internal promotion, and contact the first eligible applicant when permanent roles open.
You will work an average of 42 hours per week covering days, nights and weekends. Shift times: 0700‑1900 and 1900‑0700.

- A valid SIA Front‑Line License – essential
- A valid SIA CCTV License – desirable
- Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good effective working relationships at all levels
- Ability to work to deadlines, multitask and work under pressure
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel)
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle or reliable transport
- Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards and DV Clearance Standards as required by UK National Security Vetting
- Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular patrols and recording as per Corps and customer requirements
- Ensure all visitors and contractors to the site are correctly briefed, sign in and out
- Record the entry and exit of delivery whilst on site, including processing of paperwork in line with site quality procedures
- Ensure patrols are carried out to the correct standards
- Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours provision if applicable
- Comply with site waste‑management procedures
- Complete required documents including daily occurrence log, shift handover, incident/accident records and any site‑specific reports
- Familiarise yourself with assignment instructions, risk assessments and other quality & safety documents; advise Corps Duty Manager and/or client personnel on any changes or recommendations
- Maintain your own training records via the Corps Colleague Portal so your skills remain up‑to‑date; ensure first‑aid and fire marshal training meet legislative guidelines
- Continuously apply your SIA skills, maintaining a high level of professionalism; your SIA licence must always be displayed
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as directed
