Area Relief Security Officer

Join us as an Area Relief Security Officer at Corps Security. We are looking for a highly skilled, SIA‑licensed officer to cover holiday and sickness periods at our client sites, with the possibility of permanent placement.

What

The Role Involves
  • Maintain overall site surveillance through regular patrols and record keeping as per Corps and client requirements.
  • Ensure all visitors and contractors are briefed, signed in/out, and that delivery entries/exits are logged accurately.
  • Set and unset primary and secondary alarm security systems for out‑of‑hours coverage where applicable.
  • Carry out waste management and other site‑specific procedural duties.
  • Complete required documentation: daily occurrence logs, handover notes, incident/accident records and other reports.
  • Review and apply Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and other safety documents; advise Duty Manager of any improvements.
  • Maintain training records, including first aid and fire marshal training, and always display your SIA licence.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as directed.
What You Will Need
  • Excellent communication and customer‑focus skills.
  • A valid SIA Front‑Line Licence – essential.
  • A valid SIA CCTV Licence – desirable.
  • Confidence and ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Strong time‑management, multitasking, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel).
  • Full UK driving licence and own vehicle or reliable transport.
  • Ability to achieve vetting to BS7858 standards.
  • Willingness to work various hours, including days and nights (06:00‑18:00 & 18:00‑06:00).
