We are currently seeking to appoint HGV drivers with waste and aggregates experience, in particular for RoRo lorries.
OverviewThe successful candidate will undertake daily driving duties whilst complying with all legal obligations and company procedures, including Driver Inductions, Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and all associated Health & Safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Always be in a position to legally undertake driving duties.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours and working time regulations.
- Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy before and during use.
- Maintain communication with the traffic office regarding the progress of daily work.
- Complete all relevant paperwork correctly.
- Report any incidents and accidents immediately to the Transport Team.
- Ensure work is carried out responsibly and safely with no detriment to the company or its customers.
- Have a Class 2 CPC card and digicard.
- Have a minimum of 1 year’s previous experience driving similar vehicles.
- Experience in the waste management or construction industry desirable.
- Attention to detail.
- Be a team player with good communication and customer‑service skills.
