Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with the Nursing Leadership team and Physicians to deliver comprehensive health services to residents. Responsibilities include conducting health assessments for residents with acute or chronic conditions, diagnosing, ordering tests, and implementing treatments. The Nurse Practitioner will also participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and quality improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Current registration as Nurse Practitioner with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with residents and families from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge or experience with MDS-RAI assessments/coding (asset)
• 3-5 years of LTC experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, or Microsoft 365
