Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Logistics Coordinator will coordinate shipments and support logistic activities to deliver products to market. This role interacts with the Secure Metals Recycling management team and external customers to ensure order fulfilment activities are completed and all commercial documentation is provided.
Responsibilities- Day‑to‑day shipment duties
- Trace and maintain fleet information
- Coordinate commercial paperwork for customs
- Maintain accurate data and information
- Work with customers and team to ensure fulfillment of agreements
- Follow established shipping and purchase order placement procedures
- Perform data entry and records retention
- Coding freight invoices
- 1–5 years of related experience
- Proven experience with dispatch and scheduling functions
- Post‑secondary education in a field related to Logistics is preferred
- Basic accounting knowledge and records‑management experience is an asset
- Knowledge and experience with railcar shipments is an asset
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise
- Strong attention to detail and superior interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal, written communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to provide consistent levels of customer service to internal and external clients
