The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Marketing Officer to join our busy Marketing team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering creative, insight‑driven marketing and communications activity across the Rubicon Leisure portfolio — including events, leisure facilities, and community venues.

You’ll help to shape our brand, increase awareness, strengthen engagement, and support our commercial performance through compelling content, targeted campaigns, and strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive marketing plans in collaboration with the Head of Marketing & Events.
  • Champion the Rubicon brand, ensuring consistency across all internal and external communications.
  • Set up, monitor and analyse digital marketing campaigns, ensuring strong performance.
  • Create engaging content for websites, social media, blogs, press releases and promotional materials.
  • Plan, execute and optimise multi‑channel campaigns across digital, print and social platforms
  • Manage CRM‑driven marketing activity, supporting customer acquisition, retention and segmentation.
  • Lead on marketing activity for events across all Rubicon sites.
  • Oversee complaints, compliments and customer feedback coordination.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns and e‑shots.
  • Support screen content creation for Abbey Stadium and Pitcheroak Golf Course.
  • Monitor and respond to customer enquiries across social media channels.
  • Ensure all marketing activity is fully GDPR compliant.
  • Track and report against the marketing budget and KPIs.
  • Champion Rubicon’s vision and values in all areas of your work.

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone with:
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • UK Driving License
  • A strong working knowledge of Meta Business Suite.
  • Experience using digital marketing tools, email marketing platforms, Word Press/CMS systems and CRM software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.
  • Creativity, attention to detail and confidence in producing high‑quality content.
  • Experience managing multi‑channel marketing campaigns and analysing performance data.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

A degree in a relevant field and experience within cultural, leisure or events marketing are desirable but not essential.
