We are seeking a skilled, customer-focused Catering & Barista Assistant to support the Chef Manager in delivering a high-quality, in-house catering service to Cubic employees. This role is central to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our team through excellent food, beverages, and service.

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages to order, following Cubic's quality standards and customer preferences.
• Maintain expert knowledge of our coffee offerings and educate customers on available options.
• Ensure safe, hygienic, and efficient preparation of drinks.

• Deliver exceptional customer service with a professional and personable approach.
• Take orders and process payments accurately, upselling where appropriate.
• Be well-informed about all menu items, with a strong focus on allergens and dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, presentable, and inviting front‑of‑house and seating area.

• Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as directed by the Chef Manager.
• Follow all Health & Safety and food hygiene regulations.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks across both front and back of house.
• Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed to standard.

• Proven experience as a Barista (certification or hands‑on experience).
• Strong customer service skills with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• High attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently during quieter periods.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or front‑of‑house environment.
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety practices in food service.

• Food handling or Health & Safety certification.
• Formal Barista training or certification.
