Position: Engineering Manager x 2

Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is recruiting for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams within our Delivery team.

Location - Redhill, UK

The engineering teams deliver innovative engineering solutions for projects across the UK within our frameworks. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering solutions to meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements. The ability to travel to various offices and project sites is essential.


Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure health and safety are prioritized in design development.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and control engineering output for projects regarding scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Manage change control and detailed design programs.
  • Balance the needs of multiple projects.
  • Provide leadership to project team engineers and oversee the technical coordination and production of multidisciplinary outputs within a digital environment.
  • Coordinate with internal and external project team members, including procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Participate in or lead client meetings.
  • Ensure engineering teams understand and apply relevant quality systems, design guides, standards, codes, and policies.
  • Support continuous improvement and change management efforts.
  • Support business development or pursuit activities as needed.
  • Oversee performance management, mentoring, recognition, learning, and development, including corrective actions.

  • Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Several years of related work experience.
  • Experience with NEC3/4 PSC project management or contract administration.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and fostering positive change.
  • Motivated to deliver engineering solutions for water, wastewater, and sludge treatment projects.
  • Previous experience as a technical engineering lead on projects.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle record searches, as applicable.
  • Experience working in a Design & Build environment with partnering contractors.
  • Good understanding of digital engineering and its application in project delivery.
