Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

Cornwall | Permanent | Competitive Salary + Package
We are recruiting for an established Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor working on both residential and commercial schemes across the South West.

This role offers a varied workload covering pricing, procurement, and surveying, with the opportunity to be involved in projects from tender stage through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

* Procure subcontractors and suppliers, including negotiating terms and managing contracts.

* Measure and value works on-site, including variations.

* Monitor project costs against budgets and provide regular reports.

* Assist in the preparation of interim applications and final accounts.

* Maintain close working relationships with site teams, clients, and supply chain partners

* Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial obligations.

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within groundworks, civil engineering, or a related construction sector.

* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Proficient in measurement, cost reporting, and contract administration.

* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the South West.
