Successful applicants will be invited to attend a Selection day at Carew House, Bodmin on 23rd January 2026 (morning or afternoon to be confirmed). We would love to welcome you to our team at Longreach House, where we strive to give the best care every day for all patients who need our support.

You will be responsible for providing quality interventions and support to our patients, including 1:1 sessions, running empowerment groups, helping patients access the community, engaging in meaningful activity, and supporting personal care tasks in hospital.

• Support the delivery of care needs by carrying out assigned direct care tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Contribute to the evaluation of programmes of care by reporting to the clinical supervisor.
• Provide high‑quality mental health care to service users to promote recovery, maintaining safety for all.
• Assist in service and good practice developments.

• NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with patients who have complex mental health needs.
• Basic IT skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Practical skills associated with monitoring patients’ physical health (desirable).
• Knowledge of recovery and rehabilitation principles (desirable).

• Post will involve working shifts across the 24‑hour clock, including weekends and nights.
• Certification of Sponsorship (CoS) requirements apply – check  before applying.
