JUNIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Wolseley

Our client, an industry leader since 1968, specializes in eco-friendly solutions in the wine industry. They have a vacancy for a permanent Junior Process Engineer to be based in Wolseley.

Duties & Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and optimise chemical processes for the conversion of winery waste into premium natural products.
  • Conduct experiments and trials to improve process efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, production, and quality assurance, to achieve project objectives.
  • Troubleshoot process issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols for chemical processes.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new process implementations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to chemical engineering and waste management.
  • Assist in scaling up processes from lab-scale to production-scale.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical / Process Engineering.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Work experience in chemical process design, optimisation, and scale-up will be beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
  • Appropriate experience with PLC and SCADA programming will be an advantage.

SOFT SKILLS:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry will be advantageous.
  • Commitment to environmental sustainability and waste reduction initiatives.
