Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST; occasional after-hours/on-call as required.
Requirements
Mandatory Education & Experience
Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
8–10+ years in solution/enterprise architecture within large enterprises (utilities/energy/government preferred).
Proven leadership across application, integration, data, and infrastructure domains; creation of target state architectures and roadmaps.
Architecture methods & tooling: TOGAF, UML/Archi Mate, modeling repositories; authoring Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and NFR traceability.
Azure: landing zones, IAM, networking, security controls, and cost governance.
Integration: APIs/microservices, ESB/iPaaS, event streaming (e.g., Kafka/Event Hubs).
Security & privacy by design (threat modeling, data classification); compliance in regulated sectors.
Desired Certifications
TOGAF (Standard/9+), Microsoft Certified:
Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
ITIL 4 Foundation; CISSP/CCSP considered assets.
Preferred Experience
Utility domain exposure: OT/IT patterns (e.g., SCADA, AMI, grid operations) and segmentation principles.
Dev Ops & IaC:
Azure Dev Ops/Git Hub, Terraform/Bicep, CI/CD, release governance.
Enterprise service/change management and CAB participation.
Vendor/SI oversight; contributions to RFP/RFS responses and estimates.
Current/future-state solution and reference architectures; architecture roadmaps aligned to program outcomes.
Options analyses with risk/impact/estimate comparisons;
Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
Integration specifications (API contracts, event schemas) and interface catalogs.
Security & privacy design artefacts (threat models, controls mapping).
NFRs & compliance matrices; performance, resilience, and recoverability designs.
Design reviews and implementation guidance; defect/issue resolution support.
Documentation compliant with Sask Power standards and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

This contract role anchors major enterprise transformation initiatives, partnering with business, security, infrastructure, and application teams to shape viable, secure, and scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is architecture-driven, delivery-focused, and collaborative, able to navigate governance while accelerating outcomes. (26 month contract)
