About Us
The Digital Citizen Experience (DCE) team manages the Government of Saskatchewan’s digital platforms, which provide citizens with simple and secure access to information and services online. The team is positioned centrally within the within the Ministry of Sask Builds and Procurement’s Information Technology Division (ITD) and across the Government of Saskatchewan as a whole, and they cultivate relationships with stakeholders across all ministries and to develop and maintain enterprise solutions that benefit the citizens of Saskatchewan.
The Opportunity
DCE is looking for a talented and passionate Junior Digital Product Manager to join the product management team in a vital supporting role.
You will be involved in all aspects of end-user support for several important government online services, including Saskatchewan Account, the government’s customer identity and access management solution. This will require troubleshooting and triaging user tickets, coordinating with technical teams to investigate and resolve complex issues, communicating directly with end users and other stakeholders, and working to further develop and enhance DCE’s support and incident management model.
You will not only work within established processes but will also assist with the ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the Government’s digital platforms and service delivery. You will collaborate with senior members of the team on digital service design and development across the full software development lifecycle. This will involve performing requirements analysis, preparing user stories, creating and executing test plans and compiling test results, taking part in product releases, and writing technical and support documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide frontline support for the Government of Saskatchewan’s online services and help citizens with Saskatchewan Account and connected services;
Troubleshoot, triage, and track customer support issues and incidents;
Requirements analysis and conceptual product design;
Prepare technical and client support documentation;
Assist with platform roadmap, development, testing, and releases; and
Assist with the implementation of new digital programs and services, and the migration of existing programs and services to online platforms.

Success in this role will require staying organized and in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, along with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The ideal applicant will have the ability to:
Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to both technical and non-technical audiences;
Work independently and as a team member to meet the needs of citizens and stakeholders, and to build productive, positive work relationships; and
You will have knowledge of:
Support ticket and incident management;
This would typically be obtained through a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or a diploma from a technical college in a related field (e.g., Software Engineering) as well as 1-2 years of experience in the field, though an equivalent combination of related IT experience and education will also be considered.
