Staff Nurse - Endoscopy

Job Summary

Endoscopy Nurse – Band 5 with a clear development pathway to Band 6 Deputy Unit Manager within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales. This role offers specialist skill development and a progression to a leadership position within a dynamic and supportive team.

• Deliver high‑quality compassionate care to patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the Unit Manager and Matron to develop and improve services within the Endoscopy Unit.
• Complete the All‑Wales Endoscopy Nurse Competencies Framework and demonstrate leadership and clinical expertise required for promotion.
• Act as a role model, leading on delegated projects and promoting best practice in the unit.
• Apply specialist knowledge in Endoscopy care delivery, including JAG, GRS and decontamination services.

• Professional, enthusiastic and compassionate approach to patient care.
• Clinical endoscopy experience and documented competency in all aspects of Endoscopy Nursing.
• Leadership and delegation skills with a proven ability to manage clinical projects.
• Desirable:
  Ability to speak Welsh;
  Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
• Full training will be provided following the All‑Wales Endoscopy Nurse Competency Framework.
