Customer Team Member

Customer Team Member (18+) – SPAR Rhyl

Permanent contract, 18 hours per week, various shifts.

You will support our store management team and create a positive customer experience. Your work will help maximise sales and profit while contributing to continuous improvement of the store through our core values of ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’. The role is based at the SPAR store in Rhyl.

• Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Answer customer inquiries about products and services and assist customers in finding items.
• Process purchases efficiently and accurately through the tills, maintaining a positive service.
• Upsell selected products and highlight multi‑buy offers to maximise sales.
• Work stock: check deliveries, stock shelves, keep the floor clean and organised, rotate stock for freshness and timely expiry dates.
• Perform additional tasks such as date checking, stock and gap checking, price changes, promotional displays and other duties as required.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and processes.

• Previous experience in a similar role or industry preferred.
• Reliable follow‑through of instructions and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of retail legislative responsibilities and ability to assist with compliance.
• Candidacy to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business forward.
• Experience with the ‘Challenge 25’ policy desirable.
• Keen, enthusiastic, able to work both in a team and independently.
• Cash handling experience preferred but not essential.

Up to £12.25 per hour (depending on age).
