Assistant Accountant; T&T

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Accounting, this position is responsible for supporting timely and accurate financial reporting, contributing to period‑end close activities, and participating in special projects as required.

• Perform a wide range of accounting functions, including accruals and deferrals, fixed assets and amortization, journal entries, account reconciliations, and other duties supporting the period‑end close process.
• Review, examine, and analyze accounting and financial records, documentation, and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
• Apply and maintain standard accounting policies and procedures to support business operations and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
• Support the execution of departmental and company-wide objectives, including participation in related projects and initiatives.
• Perform other ad hoc duties and assignments as required.
• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Enrollment in the CPA program or pursuit of a professional designation is considered an asset.
• Minimum of three years of hands‑on experience in a retail accounting environment.
• Solid experience with general ledger functions and period‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, ownership, and critical thinking skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel; with strong communication skills.
• A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently when required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to speak, read, and understand Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is preferred.
