CHC has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Aircraft Lifecycle Accounting . This can be based in either Richmond, BC Canada or Aberdeen, UK. They will oversee the accounting for a global leader in the vertical aviation industry. This position will work closely with all areas of accounting and finance and liaise with divisions to provide guidance on proper accounting treatment for expenditures and other departments requesting information.
The ideal candidate will have extensive fixed asset accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities Liaise with divisions providing guidance on proper accounting treatment for expendituresLiase with departments requesting reporting informationWork using guidance standards as it relates to:
Property, plant, equipment and other assets as it relates to Accounting for Internal Use Software Airline Accounting Guide Sale lease back accounting Guide Non Aircraft Leasing accounting treatment (IFRS & US GAAPPrepare/amend memos and policies as requiredReview/prepare/monitor
Monthly Cash flow and Capex reports
Gain/Loss analysis
Monthly/Quarterly/Annual variance analysis
Note disclosures
Monthly reconciliations
Fixed asset suspense accounts
Journal Entries postingsAssist with audit requirements for note disclosures, management reporting and fixed asset narrativeContribute towards process improvement initiativesQualifications, Skills & Attributes
At least 5-10 years experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, preferably in an international environment.Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance related field or equivalent experience preferred.International organization experience preferred.Experience using large ERP system required.Highly self motivated and exceptional team player.Ability to multi task and manage a fast paced and diverse work flowAbility to collaborate cross functionallyExcellent communication skills verbal and written.Proficiency with Microsoft products, specifically MS Excel and MS Word
