THE ROLE
Donald's Fine Foods is a family-owned specialty meat processing and distribution company with six plants across Western Canada. We're not a corporate behemoth. We're a tight team that serves domestic and international markets, values straight talk, and actually means it when we say integrity matters.
We need someone sharp with numbers, confident with customers, and ready to own the AR function like it's theirs.
THE ROLE
You'll report to the Assistant Controller and run the daily accounts receivable cycle across the company. Think: cash flow guardian, customer relationship balancer, and process optimizer rolled into one.
This isn't just data entry. You'll be the person tracking down payments, issuing credit memos, spotting financial risk before it becomes a problem, and keeping our cash flow clean. You'll also handle procurement and replenishment of non-meat products to keep operations moving.

- Print and track plant expense invoices for manager approval
- Follow up on outstanding approvals (you'll need to nudge people)
- Clean up open sales orders at month-end to ensure accurate GL posting
- Reconcile dry goods receiving discrepancies between Accounting, Warehouse, and Vendors
- Pull ad hoc reports, dig into discrepancies, solve problems with data
- File, organize, liaise with departments, customers, and vendors
- Tackle whatever comes up (this is a small team, flexibility matters)
- Diploma in Accounting (pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation)
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English
