You As An Estimator Will

• Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process under pressure while building strong relationships with sub‑trades.
• Assemble accurate, timely and well organized estimates, including hard‑bid, construction management and design‑build.
• Organize sub‑contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re‑writing binders and assisting the buy‑out process.
• Monitor the success of a project, noting potential challenges and building relationships with sub‑trades for future opportunities.
• Distribute sub‑trade quotes to personnel, flagging areas of concern and coordinating with management to accommodate risk within the bid price.
• Maintain databases, including labour rates, material pricing and project costs, for future reference.

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a construction‑related degree/diploma and a minimum of 3 years of estimating ICI projects.
• Ability to use Auto Cad is an asset.
• Strong understanding of unit rate bid process and software (ie. Bid2
  
  Win, or similar).
• You have a working knowledge of corporate objectives impacting estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, and construction contracts.
• Estimating experience in P3, Design Build, Design Build Facilities Management, Lump Sum, and Construction Management contracts is essential.
• You have the ability to work effectively and accurately in time‑sensitive situations within a team.
• Be comfortable working autonomously, while providing updates when needed, and following Ellis Don procedures at all times.
