Our Finishing Superintendents are responsible for supervising the finishing stages of a project. This includes monitoring, controlling, and motivating sub-contractors to deliver a project that meets Urban One’s high quality standards. Working with the Senior Project Manager and Senior Superintendent they will assist in delivering a project which is on time and on budget.

• Comply with and effectively implement Urban One’s Safety Program to ensure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
• Coordinate and supervise all interior finishing trades, suppliers, and site personnel to maintain productivity and schedule adherence
• Execute and manage finishing work in accordance with contracts, drawings, specifications, and approved changes
• Prepare and monitor weekly production and look-ahead schedules
• Review drawings, scopes of work, and trade contracts for constructability, discrepancies, and deficiencies; escalate issues as required
• Maintain quality control standards, conduct inspections, and implement QC checks for all finishing work
• Ensure all changes, inspections, and corrective actions are properly documented and implemented
• Chair and document trade meetings related to finishing activities

• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or Construction Management
• 6+ years of previous construction experience
• Strong organizational and planning skills with prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities to meet time sensitive deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Gold Seal accreditation an asset
• Red Seal Carpenter (Journeyman) Certificate a strong asset
