ZE Power Engineering is an innovative industry leading company that provides engineering services to the electric utility industry. We are currently seeking an individual as a Distribution Technologist/Engineer in administrative tasks and provide support to the company. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a great team environment at a fast-growing company.

• Design new and replacement infrastructure for electrical utility underground systems at Distribution voltages.
• Review existing building vault and utility infrastructure.
• Prepare layouts, conceptual designs, calculations, illustrations and independent checks.
• Use computer-aided design methods to solve problems and prepare drawings.
• Prepare design markups to the drafting group in order to assist in the development of an engineered drafted drawing.
• Consult as required with the Professional of Record and action changes as directed.
• Interface with other design disciplines, coordinate with related stakeholders, project managers and managers.
• Interact with clients, consultants and contractors on a continual basis.
• Conduct site visits in order to verify existing site conditions, meet stakeholders or oversee construction.
• Support documentation process for projects including technical specifications, tender documents, technical reports and project calculations.
• Willing to assist in a variety of project support activities including project coordination, estimating, strategic planning, client support, and business analysis supporting the business development and project management departments.

• Post Secondary diploma or degree from a recognized electrical technology or engineering institution.
• Experience with Distribution Electrical Utility or Building Electrical design.
• Class 5 driver's license.
• Required:
  
  2+ Years of relevant design or engineering experience.
• Engineering degree and registration with EGBC.
• Experience designing BCH Distribution systems is a strong asset.
• Experience with distribution voltage customer vault design is a strong asset.
