Happiness Expert

Join Accent Inns (the hotel with a rubber duck in every room) and Hotel Zed (rebels against the ordinary) as a Happiness Expert (Full Time) to join our Customer Happiness Hub at our Richmond, BC location. This in-person role has no remote option.

In this role you will provide relationship‑based customer service experiences while maximizing revenue, reinforcing our unique brands and establishing meaningful human connections that make a positive difference in someone's day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create memorable brand touchpoints that drive loyalty.
  • Engage in thousands of conversations via phone, email, SMS or social to reinforce the brand and make customers smile.
  • Drive sales by booking rooms and maximizing yield – ask questions to uncover opportunities, use storytelling to showcase our properties and ask for the sale.
  • Serve as the communications and service center for customers.
  • Capture customer information when making reservations so it can be shared with properties.
  • Set expectations and showcase hotel amenities.
  • Suggest local events or restaurants to enhance their stay.
  • Drive loyalty for corporate clients, groups and travel trade customers with exceptional service.
Qualifications
  • Available to work in‑person at our Richmond location – no remote option.
  • Open availability required (Evenings 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm, weekends, etc.).
  • Previous sales and/or hotel experience preferred.
  • Fun‑loving nature.
  • Easy conversationalist.
  • Sensitive to others’ feelings.
  • Tech‑savvy systems expertise.
  • Multi‑tasker who thrives under pressure.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent grammar and writing skills.
  • Front desk or reservations office experience is an asset, but training can be provided.
