The successful candidate will possess a keen enthusiasm for AI, ML and data analytics. The role will be responsible for the construction, health, and improvement of AI and ML pipelines in a high security cloud environment. The position will be embedded in a multidisciplinary data science Dev Ops team to develop and support advanced analytics applications. Successful candidates will assist the data science team in converting industry-leading analytics initiatives into product platforms which in turn support diverse and interesting customer aircraft programs.

* ** Dev Ops Engineer
** will work closely with a team to ensure high availability and redundancy of all systems. The position will involve improving our build pipeline and ensuring successful delivery of new releases, developing infrastructure code, building for scalability and reusable micro-services, and ultimately leading expansions to new customer use cases.

* Position Responsibilities:
*** Communicate effectively with other roles and skillsets, including data scientists, developers and product owners.
* Lead a cloud transformation for a portfolio of high-profile applications.
* Help architect, design, and ultimately build scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems and environments.
* Evangelize Dev Ops throughout the work, organization, and interactions with others.
* Effectively contribute to building the overall knowledge and expertise of the technical team.
* Support production of AI and ML applications.
* Implement and support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
* Design and build monitoring solutions and services.
* Develop cloud infrastructure/platform code.
* Promote test-driven development.
* Implement systems to monitor system health, data quality and scientific performance.
* Monitor health of the application and environment, and act to return system to health when alerted.
* Implement access-control and security systems.
* Contribute to technical documentation.
** Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
*** Minimum 3 years’ Software Development experience.
* Minimum 2 years’ Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).
* Experience with development, deployment and version control tools (e.g. Gitlab, Atlassian).
* Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins/Gitlab CI/CD).
* Experience using modern database and storage systems (e.g. data mesh, blob storage, knowledge graphs).
* Experience supporting an AI or ML development team.
* Must be eligible for authorization under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
* Must be legally able to work in Canada.
* Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding controlled goods.
* Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.
** Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
*** Experience with modern AI and ML technologies (Databricks, Dataiku, Unity Catalogue).
* Experience with cloud-deployed APIs and micro-services.
* Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), preferably using Terraform.
* Experience with secure system-to-system communication in the cloud.
* Knowledge of Platform-as-a-Services offerings like Cloud Foundry.
* Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or similar.
* Experience with data models and database design.
* Experience operating in a production environment.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools, especially in the context of zero-trust architecture.
* Understanding of service mesh architectures and related technologies.
* Familiarity with static code analysis tools, such as Coverity.
* A technical degree/diploma in a related field of study.
