Light Duty Cleaner

Overview

GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a Light Duty Cleaner.

Schedule:

Flexible. Responsibilities include cleaning tasks such as hard surface floor cleaning, carpet vacuuming, dusting, cleaning washrooms and kitchenettes, and collecting garbage and recycling. GDI provides facility maintenance services for Canada and the United States with a focus on client satisfaction.

• Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear & transparent communication.
• Participate in all training as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as outlined by the Company.
• Sweep/dry mop, and wash/buff floors and stairwells using manual and power scrubbing equipment as applicable.
• Vacuum carpets and matting in offices and common areas. Spot clean daily and shampoo when directed for rugs in assigned buildings.
• Maintain and carry out preventative maintenance on floor machines, vacuums, automatic scrubbers and buffers.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to collection points.
• Ensure washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes are fully cleaned, including fixtures, appliances, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, waste receptacles and floors.
• Replenish consumables (toilet paper, hand towels, soap, sanitizer, etc.).
• Spot clean walls, doors, kick plates, removing marks from vertical surfaces.
• Clean elevator(s) as applicable.
• Monitor potential defects such as clogged urinals and lights out.
• High dusting and wall washing as required.
• Additional duties as required.

• Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organized, with energy and endurance.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment; experience with auto scrubbers is an asset.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Check.
