Information you must provideIn order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma (High School) AND completion of
* an acceptable training program in electronics technology or the
** employer-approved alternative.
* An acceptable training program is defined as, at minimum, a two year program, through a recognized post-secondary institution, in the field of electronics technology.
** The employer–approved alternative is defined as completion of an electronics engineering technician program followed by a minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job technical training and experience in informatics, repairs and installation of modems, landlines, Navigational, Communication, Radars and/or Sonar equipment OR having achieved the Canadian Forces developmental period (DP) 2 in the field of communication, radar, sonar, or navigational systems.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1:
Experience in performing maintenance and installations of navigational, sensors or communication systems.
EX2:
Experience in the delivery of life cycle management of marine or land electronic equipment and systems used for navigation, communications and informatics.
EX3:
Experience providing advice, guidance or recommendations to supervisors, co-workers and clients regarding marine or land electronic equipment and systems used for navigation, communications and informatics.
EX4:
Experience participating in the development of technical and or logistic support solutions to correct defects in systems and equipment or deficiencies in maintenance and repair practices.
EXPERIENCE:

Successful completion of the Canadian Coast Guard Marine Electronic Technology Development Program.
