Reporting to the Assistant CK/CB Manager (or his/her delegate), the janitor must ensure compliance with all food safety related standards of the company. Responsibilities of the janitor position include but not limited to maintain manufacturing equipment cleanliness and operation of sanitation equipment. T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec.

The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

• Work at designated area, follow company’s food safety guideline in properly cleaning and storing all production generated equipment and utensils
• Perform weekly cleaning duties on general areas in the facility (e.g. wall, hallway)
• Dispose of all waste and recycle according to the recycling program criteria
• Use all sanitation equipment properly and safely
• Work within Work Safe B.C. and in accordance with proper use of chemicals and other physical hazards in the workplace
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior

Knowledge, Skills And Ability Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience preferred
• Must be reliable and available to work all hours of operation including overtime, weekend, holidays, early morning and/or late-night shifts
• Able to work in humid environment
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
• Physically capable of standing long period of time and lifting, bending and moving objects up to 40 pounds if necessary
