We are a food manufacturer and distributor, and are currently looking for a QC Technician who is energetic, looks forward to challenges and has a desire to learn and grow with our company.

Job Responsibilities
- Monitor daily operation following established food safety system requirement, and enforce GMP compliance by plant employee.
- Conduct hygiene and sanitation monitoring, and record result in respective forms.
- Inspect or test samples of raw materials &/or products, and record test/inspection result on respective forms.
- Report to QC Manager/supervisor when food safety/quality non-conformance is identified.
- Report employee health & safety issue or injury to respective department managers / supervisors &/or first aid attendant / workplace health & safety committee members.
- Take part in food safety system verification, process verification.
- Prepare foot bath sanitizer daily, and monitor chemical concentration regularly.
- Monitor temperature of thawed materials, storage, coolers & freezers and record results.
- Verify accuracy of production scales daily and other QC related monitoring equipment and record readings.
- Personal hygiene / GMP monitoring, record non-compliance.
- Verify proper function and documentation of Metal Detector / X-ray, record inspection results and isolate and examine foreign material contamination when found.
- Finished product weight check, label check, in-process QC, sensory evaluation &/or bacterial tests.
- Collect test samples and finished product retain samples.
- Complete daily Facility Sanitation Inspection and take part in monthly facility inspection.
- Pest control inspection in addition to the regular pest control by contract service provider.
- Regular Environmental and equipment cleanliness monitoring swabs.
- Assist Q C Coordinator, Specialist &/or Manager when directed.
- In Process QC tests using pH meter, salt meter, brix refractometer.
- Microbiological tests – products & swabs
- Sensory evaluation.
A. Education and experience
- a. Complete a minimum 2-year Food Technology, experience is an asset
- b. Minimum 3 years food manufacturing industry experience, in addition to completing high school.
- c. Meet the requirements B – H below.
C. Knowledge and understanding of GMP / HACCP control.
D. Possess problem solving and logical thinking skills.
E. Pay attention to detail.
F. Have good time management. G. Proficient in usage of computers, Words, Excel, and e-mail. H. Able to communicate effectively in English (speaking, reading, writing), 2nd language will be considered an asset.#J-18808-Ljbffr
