Shift Supervisor – Store# 00178, BLUNDELL

Join Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor, where you will assist the Store Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts and create a legendary customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the Starbucks culture, values, and mission.
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customer cues.
  • Communicate information to the Manager so the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assist with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching.
  • Provide feedback to the Store Manager on partner performance during the shift.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing partner morale changes and communicating them to the Store Manager.
  • Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence.
  • Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer‑first attitude.
  • Discover and respond to customer needs.
  • Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivations, needs, and concerns.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.
  • Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and security, to ensure partner safety during each shift.
  • Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash handling practices are followed by the shift team.
  • Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with the Store Manager to find new, creative recognition methods.
  • Utilize operational tools to achieve operational excellence during the shift.
Summary of Experience
  • Customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
