Security Professional - YVR Airport

Securiguard has been the trusted security provider for Vancouver International Airport (YVR) since 1997. We are currently seeking Access Control Point (ACP) guards who provide access to the Restricted Area of the Airport.

• Provide access and egress into and out of the Restricted Area for both passengers and employees according to the policies and procedures distributed by the Company.
• Prevent unauthorized and backflow access into restricted areas.
• Control access to restricted areas through verification of RAIC verification.
• Ensure adherence to block pass requirements for those accessing the Restricted Area while escorting.
• Ensure goods entering adhere to the Secure Supply Chain Security program.
• Ensure Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations and directives are enforced.
• Other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor/Management as per operational requirement.

• Valid Security License with the Province of British Columbia.
• Ability to work 8, 10 and 12‑hour shifts, rotating between days and evenings (overnight), weekends and holidays.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a clean abstract.
• Access to vehicle to get to and from work.
• Ability to problem‑solve and situational awareness.
• Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.

For many of Securiguard's positions based at our Vancouver Airport Branch, candidates must have the ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). This clearance involves a background check based on 5 years of history. Successful candidates will then be trained in Aviation Security and, upon passing the examination, will receive an AVSEC certification.
