Job TitleManager, Accounting & Client Services
Location:
Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)
- Take ownership of complex accounting, assurance, and corporate tax files across a varied client portfolio
- Act as a senior technical resource, providing guidance on accounting standards and tax matters
- Lead client engagements from planning through completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering practical insight on financial reporting and compliance issues
- Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members while maintaining firm quality standards
- Contribute to strengthening client relationships and identifying opportunities to expand service offerings
- CPA designation (or near completion)
- 5+ years of progressive experience within a Canadian public accounting environment
- Strong hands‑on experience with corporate tax filings (T2) and related planning matters
- Proven ability to manage assurance engagements, including audits and review engagements
- Experience working with owner‑managed businesses and not‑for‑profit entities
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to review work, manage deadlines, and mentor staff
- Clear, professional communication skills and confidence interacting with clients
- Familiarity with industry‑standard accounting and tax tools (e.g., Case Ware, Tax Prep, Quick Books)
- Apply in‑depth knowledge of Canadian accounting frameworks, including ASPE and ASNPO
- Manage and review complex corporate tax filings while ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Provide practical advisory support to clients on reporting, compliance, and tax‑related matters
- Lead assurance engagements for not‑for‑profit organizations such as healthcare entities, community organizations, and condominium corporations
- Oversee review engagements for privately held, profit‑oriented businesses
- Plan engagement timelines, manage budgets, and ensure high‑quality file completion
- Review work prepared by junior and intermediate staff, providing constructive and timely feedback
- Support training initiatives and contribute to the professional growth of team members
- Participate in performance discussions and ongoing coaching
- Act as a primary relationship manager for assigned clients
- Ensure consistent service delivery and proactive communication
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships and support firm growth
